Our Story
Indian Acres Tree Farm has been family owned and operated in Medford, NJ since 1961. For over 60 years we've grown Christmas trees, and for more than 30 years we've welcomed families for pumpkin picking and fall festivals.
In 2022, after decades of doing what we love, we decided to add something new: Winter Wonderland Illuminated Walking Trail. Many of the scenes on the trail are built by hand, right here on the farm, using upcycled and recycled materials. An old tire becomes a towering tree. Leftover doors become a photo-worthy hut. It's a labor of love, built by us, for you.
Now in our 5th season, Winter Wonderland has grown into a South Jersey holiday tradition, but the heart of it hasn't changed. It's still family run, still handmade, and still built one scene at a time.
50+ Scenes. One Unforgettable Night.
Your evening commences with a wander through the forest, brimming with whimsical snowmen and trees crafted from upcycled farm treasures. Take a seat in front of our gleaming waterfall and bask in the glow of the surrounding lighted Cherry Blossom and Willow Trees. You’ll encounter luminous boxes housing miniature worlds, featuring a Fairy Garden among many others!
Continuing along the path, you might even discover a hidden gnome village. The trail then leads from the woods into our Live Christmas Tree fields, home to a GINORMOUS sled & wreath. From there, waddle past our Penguin Igloo Oasis, capture a memory at Stan’s Photo Stop, a hut constructed entirely of doors, and “fly by” Birdhouse Row, but keep an eye out for a stray toboggan!
Endless scenes and displays finish up our live Blue Spruce field, highlighted by our Gingerbread House & Horse and Buggy scene that got a major upgrade this year to enhance the old-style town vibe. From there, venture into our White Pine field to walk through a tunnel of lights cascading like snow. To conclude your festive journey, we present the Grand Finale: Rita’s Miniature Village. This is the place to truly soak in the holiday magic, surrounded by a vast expanse of tiny towns and festive trimmings.
With over 150,000 lights decorating the path, this experience is THE premier way to honor the season! Once you’ve explored our Winter Wonderland, join us at the bonfires for some cozy hot chocolate and s’mores. You are even welcome to complete the trail a SECOND time after warming up by the fire!
